Readers' Café: Where Are We At?

Our weekly Readers' Café is an important part of our classroom programme. It has developed over three years (initially being an extra guided reading group for low ability readers) to something that we see as beneficial to all learners.

We get together in our literacy groups every Friday morning to share the personal reading we have been enjoying.

Here's a recent snippet...

We are constantly getting feedback from each other about Readers' Café. Where might we go next?

  2. Our readers cafe has been improving threw out the year. Readers cafe is a place where you can share your book that you have been reding confidently and you get maximum of 3 points of sharing and 2 points with listening. If you win this weeks readers cafe you get to be in charge of it the next week. Readers cafe is run by us and not mr.k. I think having readers cafe is awesome because you get to see what kinds of books other people like. Readers cafe in run in our reding groups.
